Abstract: Acoustic cavitation is a complex phenomenon comprising sound propagation in liquids, nucleation and bubble dynamics, bubble motion, interaction and structure formation, and fluid flow. Recent simulation approaches try to include mutual coupling of several of these aspects, leading to complex models that can capture more and more details of experimental observations. The talk presents actual work, focusing on the simulation of bubble-liquid coupling and of bubble cluster dynamics.
